On stage virtual production has become a reality. It is opening the door to more fluid and imaginative, high-end live action/CG entertainment and is providing new solutions to physical, scheduling and budgeting challenges. Virtual production, however, represents a paradigm shift--it reconfigures workflows, redefines jobs and alters the collaborative process. How does virtual production impact filmmaking from previs, through on-set capture, to postproduction? In what ways does it enhance the creative palette?
