This year marks the 7th Annual VES Festival where you and some of the savviest people around will get to see how visual effects magic allows HERBIE THE LOVE BUG to seem almost human, how light-saber fights in STAR WARS actually occur, and how gory forensic clues lead to solving murder cases on CSI.  Our festival is a cornucopia of sights, sounds, and effects – and you have a front row seat!

Just who are these magicians?  They are members of a specialized community known as visual effects artists and the best of the best are members of the Visual Effects Society.  Represented in about a dozen countries worldwide, VES has approximately 1250 members from the fields of film, TV, animation, and computer gaming who make the impossible, possible and who are able to create the most amazing situations you’ll ever see on screen.

Like all good magicians who utilize “sleight of hand”, VES artists are able to create “sleight of eye” in that most of the time you aren’t even aware of the magic as you are watching it…More
