“Nuts and Bolts of Animated Feature Films”

Geared towards animation producers and VFX producers, this seminar focused issues like budgeting and labor issues of 3D animation. As part of the VES Education Committee’s Behind the Scenes: Problem-Solving in Visual Effects Series

This four-part series focused on the “problem-solving” skills employed by some of the top visual effects supervisors in their most recent projects. Real examples of production problems were cited and the audience was invited to develop their own solutions. Afterwards the experts presented and illustrated how the problem was actually solved. Presentations included Glenn Campbell, VFX Supervisor, Area 51;Rocco Gioffre, Digital Matte Artist, Svengali VFX;Jim Rygiel, VFX Supervisor, Lord of the Rings (Trilogy); and Michael Fink, VFX Supervisor, Constantine, X-Men.
