Tara Marie Jacobson

Tara Marie Jacobson is a seasoned VFX Artist with nearly 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry. She specializes in Nuke compositing and has additional expertise in stereoscopic compositing and motion graphics. Tara has contributed her skills to a wide range of projects, including feature films, episodic television, immersive 34k experiences, commercials, and video games.

Throughout her career, Tara has collaborated with acclaimed creators and teams, including Ang Lee on Life of Pi for stereo compositing, Lesley Robson-Foster on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and Warner Brothers on Barbie while working on the client side. Her portfolio also includes creating dynamic work for brands like Airbnb and tackling highly technical projects such as Illuminarium’s Space Experience.

A dedicated member of the VFX community, Tara served as Co-Chair and Treasurer of the New York Chapter of the Visual Effects Society (VES), where she played a key role in uniting the local industry during and after the challenges of COVID-19.

When not immersed in her creative pursuits, Tara enjoys scuba diving and underwater photography, holding advanced certifications in open-water diving. She aspires to retire near the ocean to continue her passion for capturing the beauty of the underwater world. Currently based in California, Tara is actively seeking opportunities to push creative boundaries and deliver memorable visual experiences.
