Serkan Semiz

He was born in 1975 in Istanbul. He graduated from Yıldız Technical University Mathematics Engineer. He started to work in CO Production when he was a student so he started having experiences in a film sector. While 10 years, the time he worked there, he had been in many projects like commercial films, documentary films, advertorials, and feature films as an assistant of director, editor, flame artist and post production supervisor. In this period, the most important projects he was in are Kutluğ Ataman’s documentary ““Semiha b. Unplugged” and Tayfun Pirselimoğlu’s movie “Hiçbiryerde”.

Between October 2007 and March 2016, while 8,5 years, he had been working in Digiflame,  Stüdyo5 and  Color-ist as a general director and manager and gave post production services in thousands of serials, hundreds of commercials and almost a hundred movies. He also worked as a visual effect supervisor in the serials Muhteşem Yüzyıl, Filinta and Muhteşem Yüzyıl Kösem.

Since April, 2017 he is continuing to be a producer and visual effects producer in Mojo FX. As the VFX producer he has been working for TV series such as Vatanım Sensin, Savaşçı, Dip and many other feature films and commercials. Additionally, he worked as the VFX producer/supervisor of Netflix’s documentary project Rise of Empires: Ottoman and Testament: The Story of Moses and Disney+’s Escape.
