While LinkedIn or IMDb might provide a more formal overview, here’s a little about me and my journey. I’ve held a variety of roles over the years, spanning both production and post-production.
For over a decade, I’ve managed operations for visual effects schools, even founding one in Montreal in 2018. Before that, I ran an animation school and worked in special effects (SFX) makeup. My career began with a passion for filmmaking, which then expanded to SFX makeup, and eventually led me to animation. I’ve had the opportunity to work in multiple roles on set and loved them. I also had the opportunity to assist a VFX supervisor on a few episodes of a TV serier. I would love to explore this further some day.
Currently I get the opportunity to use my diverse background snf wide range of skills to create backgrounds, props, makeup, and film footage that enrich my students’ experience.
It’s incredibly rewarding to watch them graduate, embark on careers they love, and stay connected, sharing their journeys with me and the school community.
Role with the VES
In the past I held the role of secretary for the Visual Effects Vancouver branch from 2013-2016.
