Fabricio Baessa
Fabricio Baessa is a VES Award Winner VFX Supervisor at DNEG. He is currently serving as a VFX Supervisor on Black Adam and previously as an VFX Supervisor on ‘Uncharted’, the highly-anticipated cinematic adaptation of the hit video game. He also recently served as VFX Supervisor on Devotion, DFX Supervisor on ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’, and director Edgar Wright’s upcoming thriller, ‘Last Night in Soho’.Prior to his current role as a VFX and DFX Supervisor, Fabricio served as CG Supervisor on ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ and ‘Men in Black: International’. Before this, he worked as CG Lead on a variety of major productions, including ‘Deadpool 2’, ‘The Fate of the Furious’, and ‘Blade Runner 2049’, the Academy Award-winning sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1982 classic.
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Fabricio spent 15 years helming visual effects for top television networks in Brazil, where he supervised large teams both in studio and on-set across a variety of films, TV series and commercials.
With an international perspective and a deep understanding of all elements of the visual effects pipeline, Fabricio quickly rose through the ranks after joining DNEG in 2015. A few more of his titles during this period include Tim Burton’s ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children’ and Justin Lin’s award-winning ‘Star Trek: Beyond’.
