Christophe ivins, mfa

Christophe ivins, mfa, is a member of the Visual Effects Society and the Society of Camera Operators, for which he has served on the board of governors. Christophe has operated camera and steadicam and worked on visual effects for studio productions, including six Academy Award winners such as Life of Pi and Titanic. He was fortunate to work with James Cameron on Avatar, and train under Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC, known for cinematography of The Deer Hunter and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. His experience in the film industry afforded him the ability to teach compositing, direct cinematography, and shoot still photographs in locations as far away as India, Cambodia, Germany, and glaciers of Alaska. While serving as an Army Public Affairs Officer, ivins produced broadcast and print journalism while deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina with NATO Peace Implementation Forces.
