Freelance VFX Supervisor & Senior Compositor (Nuke / Flame)

Caio Sorrentino

Having started as a CG artist in 2004, and becoming a Flame/Inferno compositor in the following years, I worked amongst the incredibly-talented VFX community from Sao Paulo (Brazil) on the post-production of high-end TV commercials before joining visionary Brazilian advertising film-director Fabio Soares as a Junior VFX Supervisor and co-director, covering many aspects of his VFX-intensive TV commercials and special projects.

In 2010 I joined Glassworks Amsterdam as a Lead Flame Artist, and since 2014 I have been working as a lead/senior compositor and VFX supervisor in New York City as a freelancer, maintaining collaborative relationships with studios such as The Mill NY and Blacksmith VFX.

I have also collaborated with emerging film-directors, cinematographers and independent creative producers, helping create compelling visual effects for numerous short-films, features and pilots, such as "See You Yesterday" (2017, short, dir. Stefon Bristol, prod. SpikeLee/Netflix) and "Magic Hour" (2020, Che Grayson) among many others.
