VES Bay Area members are invited to a special evening visit to the Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment in Old Town Oakland on November 16th.
The MADE is an unique hands-on museum and arcade that presents a living history of the video game industry.
For over a decade, the MADE has sought to legitimize the preservation of video games as an historic, cultural, and artistic medium within the context of our time. Visitors have access to play any of our over 14,000 games across 40+ systems. Through exhibitions, events, and exposition, these games are presented as works of art, with the process behind their creation brought to light in an interactive museum setting.
Come by the building, get a tour of the collection, and hear about their historic, community-building, and educational efforts.
As a bonus, we’ll hold a forum with members of the VES Bay Area board of managers and the MADE board, discussing how our communities can share knowledge and support.
